Russian Physics Journal is now located in Akademgorodok

The Editorial Board of the international Russian Physics Journal, published in English, is now housed in Tomsk Akademgorodok. Tomsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is the journal s partner. The Russian Physics Journal published by Springer is included in Scopus and Web of Science, and its SCImago journal ranking on physics and astronomy is Q3.

In the current situation, when many foreign journals stop collaborating with Russian scientists because of sanctions, Tomsk, as a leading research and educational center of the country, needs its own international multi-disciplinary journals," says Alexander Potekaev, Editor of the Russian Physics Journal. Our journal covers many aspects of physics, including particle physics and field theory, semiconductor and dielectric physics, condensed state physics, physics of magnetic phenomena, optics and spectroscopy, as well as quantum electronics and plasma physics.

As Alexander Ivanovich says, the journal has a rich history and its editorial board traditionally included leading scientists from Russia, Belarus, China, Germany, Japan and Brazil. We are now planning to invite experts from South-East Asia, the Middle East and the former Soviet republics to join the editorial board.

The Editorial Board continues to collaborate with the international Springer Publishing Company. Springer is included in such databases as Web of Science and Scopus, OneFile, Academic Search, Astrophysics DATA System (ADS), Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), Current Abstracts, Digital Mathematics Registry, EBSCO, Gale, Google Scholar, INIS Atomindex, Inspec, Journal Citation Reports / Science Edition, Mathematical Reviews, OCLC, Science Citation Index Expaded (SciSearch), Summon by Serial Solutions, Zentralblatt Math.

Among the major goals now facing the journal are achieving the second quartile (Q2) by 2025, attracting not only Russian authors, but also foreign scientists from those countries with which cooperation is now most relevant. Particular attention will be paid to work with young scientists. The Board of Directors of the Institutions of TSC SB RAS approved the journal s development program.
